Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?: The Arrow of Orion (also known as DanMachi Arrow of Orion) is a Japanese anime fantasy film released in 2019. Though it is officially viewed as it's own independent "non-canon" story, the film features characters and elements from the Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? television series.

Biological Unit

The story of the film follows a group of warriors recruited by the goddess Artemis to aid her in a great battle with the demon called Antares. To reach Antares, the warriors must travel through an endless dungeon filled with monsters located beneath the great city of Orario. Though the journey is long and perilous, the warriors eventually reach the chamber in which Antares resides, and discover that the Artemis whom they have been traveling with is not who she appears to be.

Upon seeing the demon, Artemis reveals to her allies that she and her children had attempted to stop Antares after it had broken out of the prison which it had been trapped in for centuries. While Artemis' children were all slain by the monster, Antares chose to spare the goddess and absorb her into it's body, which allowed it to harness her divine powers. Artemis managed to project her spirit and escape the dungeon, fleeing to the city of Orario where she could recruit warriors to slay Antares. 

The spirit of Artemis then explains to one of the warriors, a boy named Bell, that he must release her from the crystal and kill her body in order for Antares to be destroyed. Reluctant at first, Bell manages to complete his task before Antares harnesses Artemis' power to destroy the city above. As his dagger plunges into her chest, the real Artemis thanks Bell for releasing her.

Video Game

Artemis and Antares appear in the DanMachi: Memoria Freese mobile game, though their appearance mainly consists of screenshots from the Arrow of Orion film.
